New Year, New Look

Well… here we are at last. Do you think there has ever been a year so hotly anticipated as this?

Most of us are heading into 2021 with extra enthusiasm for the fresh start that the new calendar year offers. And so it felt like a perfect time to freshen up our website, with a new look and a new section where we can share updates from our studio. We hope you’ll check in from time to time to read about our latest projects, awards and press – as well as whatever else might be on minds.

At this time last year, things were so different. Our studio was bustling with activity. We were all working together in the office, and gearing up to take part in DesignTO for the first time ever – that’s our installation “Into the Woods” shown above. The scaled-down reimaging of our award-winning Crown Lobby Screen enjoyed an extended exhibition through February – and then, well, you know.

The next ten months weren’t all bad. We had some nice press (thank you Canadian Interiors, World Interiors News and Azure). Our Volaris project won a Value of Design Award. And it also made the shortlist for the SBID’s International Design Awards. We continued working with some wonderful clients, and even managed to finish a few projects, despite the disruptions.

That said, we’re all tiptoeing into this year with a little bit of trepidation. But we’re glad to be here, and glad to see you here as well.
